Black hills & badlands
A collection of photographs from the Black Hills and Badlands regions of the upper plains & the Dakotas
There is hardly another place where history, culture, and scenic beauty collide. For two years, I’ve had the opportunity to live in and explore this wild landscape. From watching the Aurora Borealis dance in the night skies, seeing the sun set on painted layers of the Badlands, and hiking the jagged spires in the Black Hills, I understand why the Lakota believe there is healing in this region. Please enjoy this gallery of this sacred place.
